WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
During your first appointment, your practitioner will complete a history and physical exam. She will then review her findings with you, explain what is going on with you and discuss treatment options. This is also a good time to discuss treatment expectations and allows for you to create a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with.
DO YOU ACCEPT MY HEALTH INSURANCE?
Dr. Natalie is contracted with many insurance companies including Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California and many others and can bill them directly. Plans vary and if you have specific questions about your plan, feel free to give us a call and we can check the details of your specific plan.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TO COME FOR VISITS?
Each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and will be discussed during your first appointment.
Frequency of treatment will depend on a few factors; severity of injury, chronicity of condition, any potential timelines imposed on recovery (i.e. an upcoming race/event) and your own response to treatment. Visit frequency will be reevaluated at each visit and communicated to you based on the progress your practitioner is seeing.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
Most insurance plans do not require a referral but the UC Davis SHIP plan does require a referral from the UC Davis Student Health Center. If you would like a referral to see Dr. Natalie Weston, let your primary care provider or your insurance services representative know you want to see Dr. Natalie Weston and they can fax your referral over directly to us. If you are not sure if your plan requires a referral, give us a call and we can check your specific plan!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear whatever makes you most comfortable (or what you are already wearing!). We have worked around many styles and will do our best to make you feel comfortable no matter what you are wearing.
